Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must ensure that a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment is carried out and kept under review. In practice, this means understanding not only the general fire risks within the building, but also issues such as damaged fire doors, failed compartmentation, poor fire-stopping and changes that may have affected the original fire strategy.

Initial discussion
We discuss the building, the information you already have and the type of assessment required.
Review of existing information
Where drawings, previous reports or fire strategy documents are available, we use these to understand the scope and provide an accurate quotation.
Site visit if required
If a visit is needed before quoting, we arrange this with you and review the building in more detail.
Survey scheduling
Once the work is agreed, surveys can usually be scheduled within two to three weeks, subject to availability and the scale of the building.
Clear reporting
Following the assessment, we provide a report setting out our findings, supported by photographs, marked-up drawings where required, and outputs from OneTrace.
Follow-on support
Where further action is needed, Thermotel can also support with fire strategy work, remedial repairs or planned maintenance.
